The Protocols of the Elders of Zion

Also called The Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion (first published in Russia 1903/1905) – or briefly: The Protocols

There were many ´spiritual’ contributors to this ‘Work of Fiction’, however, much remains in the dark. Fact is that Hermann Goedsche (1815 – 1878) – alias Sir John Retcliffe - wrote a  book titled Biarritz (published 1868) in which he describes a conspiratorial meeting (rabbinical cabal) of the  Council of Representatives of the Twelve Tribes at the Prague cemetery at midnight. They discuss and agree upon how to Rule the World (by any means).

This anti-Semitic work of fiction drew ‘inspiration’ from many other sources, but in particular from the following:

1489 Alleged Letter from the Jewish community of Arles to the Jews of Constantinople. The Jews of Arles were seeking advice how to deal with non-Jewish people (from Arles) threatening the Jewish synagogues. The Answer from the Grand Sanhedrin (called the Constantinople Letters) was as follows:

Dear beloved brethren in Moses, we have received your letter in which you tell us of the anxieties and misfortunes which you are enduring. We are pierced by as great pain to hear it as yourselves.

The advice of the Grand Satraps and Rabbis is the following: 

As for what you say that the King of France obliges you to become Christians: do it, since you cannot do otherwise, but let the law of Moses be kept in your hearts. 

  1.  As for what you say about the command to despoil you of your goods: make your sons merchants, that little by little they may despoil the Christians of theirs.
  2. As for what you say about their making attempts on your lives: make your sons doctors and apothecaries, that they may take away Christians’ lives. 
  3. As for what you say of their destroying your synagogues: make your sons cannons and clerics in order that they may destroy their churches. 
  4. As for the many other vexations you complain of: arrange that your sons become advocates and lawyers, and see that they always mix themselves up with the affairs of State, in order that by putting Christians under your yoke you may dominate the world and be avenged on them.

Do not swerve from this order that we give you, because you will find by experience that, humiliated as you are, you will reach the actual of power. Ciphered Bodies - Disciplined Bodies

As an addendum to what I have written before, I would like to write down some of the aspects Annette Peller pointed out in her book ‘ Chriffierte Körper – Disziplinierte Körper. Female Genital Cutting. Rituelle Verwundung als Statussymbol’.   To my knowledge, there is no English translation of the book. The title would probably read as follows: Ciphered Bodies - Disciplined Bodies. Female genital cutting. Ritual wounding as a status symbol ' . The book represents her PhD thesis and was written in 2000. First, Annette Peller prefers to use the word ‘ Excision ’ instead of cutting or mutilation, since it is somewhat more neutral and the term is better able to handle certain aspect of ritual wounding. Annette Peller did much of her research while living with the Arbore and other ethnic groups in Southern Ethiopia.
