Conspiracy Beliefs

Intro

Nowadays, we are forced to deal with disturbing psychological developments that have quite substantive negative effects or our society. I speak of the growing influence of Conspiracy Theories (a better name is Conspiracy Myths or Conspiracy Beliefs ).

Well, this is a very depressing topic and while studying it, I felt overwhelmed by the huge variety of such belief systems and world views. And I felt threatened because many of such beliefs tend to use force (weapons) to ‘defend themselves’ against evil (government, prominent persons, nations etc.). Their opinions are widely spready through social networks. It almost feels as if the 4 apocalyptic riders are already galloping trough the world.

All this troubles me tremendously. I know that this is a ‘much disputed matter’ with no easy answers or remedies. Nevertheless, there are better options than clinging to dangerous belief systems.

It is not possible, to talk about conspiracy beliefs in a brief and concise way. There are too many of such belief systems, related organizations and movements. It’s almost overwhelming. If you start exploring them you get the feeling that you are going down the rabbit hole – and never be able to come up again, lost in a labyrinth of dark and narrow paths (with little air to breathe).

Anyways, here is a summary of what I have learned (references are cited). As this topic is complex, it will take me several blog entries.

 

Some Examples

But first, here are some common (old and current) ‘theories’ (please note that a ‘complete’ list would easily fill many pages).

·       JFK was murdered by organized crime, not just by a solitary shooter (1963)

·       Moon Landing was fake (1969)

·       Elvis is still alive (1977)

·       Lady Di was murdered by the British Secret Service (1997)

·       Shape-shifting reptilian aliens control the earth (1999)

·       Our earth is flat (or doughnut shaped), but not spherical (internet-era- resurgence)

·       9/11 was organized by a covert US military strike and/or by a Jewish complot. How else could it be that all Jewish employees working in the Towers were pre-warned and this able to leave the building and be saved?

·       Jewish doctors use modified drugs for cancer therapies but in reality to weed out non-Jews

·       Barack Obama was not born on the US soil (but e.g. in Kenia)

·       Airplanes spray chemicals (chemtrails) that are harmful to people and animals. The destroy fertility and/or make people obedient and/or let them turn violent

·       Climate crisis is fake

·       Vaccinations cause autism

·       Pizzagate:  Democrats were accused of human trafficking and running a Children sex ring (2016)

·       The Corona SARS-CoV-2 was designed and released by the Chinese military, or by Bill Gates, or triggered by 5G radiation.

·       Immigrants and refugees (in particular Muslims) are intentionally brought over (or allowed to enter our country) in order to ‘replace’ the long-established population and to push Islamification (Islamization) in Europe. In German language they call this ‘Umvolkung’, an expression used by the Nazis to re-Germanize people in occupied territories.

·       Greta Thunberg is either used by the Rothschilds or she is a time traveler (or both)

Ciphered Bodies - Disciplined Bodies

As an addendum to what I have written before, I would like to write down some of the aspects Annette Peller pointed out in her book ‘ Chriffierte Körper – Disziplinierte Körper. Female Genital Cutting. Rituelle Verwundung als Statussymbol’.   To my knowledge, there is no English translation of the book. The title would probably read as follows: Ciphered Bodies - Disciplined Bodies. Female genital cutting. Ritual wounding as a status symbol ' . The book represents her PhD thesis and was written in 2000. First, Annette Peller prefers to use the word ‘ Excision ’ instead of cutting or mutilation, since it is somewhat more neutral and the term is better able to handle certain aspect of ritual wounding. Annette Peller did much of her research while living with the Arbore and other ethnic groups in Southern Ethiopia.
